$3,000 needed for life saving surgery
Auckland
This past month has been heartbreaking. We lost our beautiful cat Luv in a sudden car accident. Her passing devastated us and deeply affected our other cat, Paulo, who was her best friend.
Just days later, Paulo (2.5 years old) suddenly became unwell. He was straining to pee, licking himself constantly, and clearly in pain. We rushed him to the emergency vet and were told he had a life-threatening urinary blockage, a condition often caused by stress, in this case, likely from losing Luv.
Without urgent surgery, Paulo wouldn’t have made it. He was hospitalised, catheterised, and monitored closely. Thankfully, he pulled through and is now recovering.
His emergency care cost over $3,000, which we had to pay up front to save his life. While we’d do it all over again, it’s been a huge financial strain, especially in the middle of grieving Luv.
We’re asking for help to ease the weight of this unexpected emergency. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us cover the cost of Paulo’s treatment and focus on his healing.
Thank you so much for reading, supporting, or even sharing this page. It means the world to us and to Paulo. 💙
With love,
Ellie & Marcos
