Donations for friends and their families in Bunaken, Lembeh and Manado, Indonesia

  • Lembeh donations given and campaign has ended

    So, it was a while ago but Lembeh crew received their donations on August 10th and they were gratefully received. The campaign has now ended, and with some private donations not shown on the page, we managed to raise $4185 for our friends in Bunaken, Manado and Lembeh. We were able to buy for a few extra people in Manado too!

    The next shopping trip will be coming in the next week or so, before the end of the month, and will buy about the same again for everyone.

    Thank you so much to everyone for supporting this cause. It isn't over yet, here or anywhere else, but the kindness shown is heartwarming and goes a long way to keep those that need support while the economy slowly readjusts. Domestic tourism is on the up and people are looking forward to coming back to our beautiful island resorts which will get some people back to work.

  • Donations already helping

    After just a week of receiving donations from all you lovely people, we have been able to do a shopping trip to give 44 locals and their families, in Bunaken and Manado, the following: 20kg of rice, 2lt cooking oil, 10 eggs, 1kg sugar and 500g of Nutrisari powder (vitamin c drink). PLUS... diapers and milk formula for those with babies. We have a shopping trip planned for Lembeh tomorrow, to help a further 21 people with the same.

    That's not all!

    We have spent approximately $2000 and donations are still coming in, so we will be able to buy for more people AND do another shopping trip in the near future.

    The thanks and gratitude from everyone here is overwhelming. Your generosity goes such a long way to help many more than just 65 people and is truly appreciated. On behalf of those receiving aid, as they have said to us, Thank you, God Bless, and terima kasih banyak!

  • Goal Increased

    As we have seen such amazing generosity in such a short space of time, we have increased our goal so we can help more people, for longer. If you have already donated, on behalf of everyone I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you. Your kindness is going to help so many people and is greatly appreciated.
