$5 (or up to $10 if you are feeling generous) donations to help Janice feel herself again!
Canterbury
Hi everyone. As most of you will know by now, Janice is currently going through the dreaded chemotherapy for her treatment for breast cancer.
Now if you know my mum, she would not want any hand outs. She is a tough, brave and wonderful human being. She would hate to think people were putting themselves out for her.
So my solution is... Such small donations that its just the cost of a cup of coffee. No one has had to break the bank helping out. She can't argue that one!
I would ask her to use the money either for a wig, or a bit of pampering (shopping spree perhaps). The goal is to raise $1000!
INCOMING LONG SOPPY MSG THAT MIGHT MAKE YOU CRY!! (who's cutting onions? I'm not crying YOU ARE)
I write this message on my 30th birthday. 30 long years ago my mum had me and it was a tricky road for her with birth complications. Of course, like all mothers, she fell in love with me right away and hated that she couldn't be in the same room as me. Growing up she used to tell me this story, and how we were both in hospital for several weeks and she missed me so much.
The bond was strong, as still is. Growing up, mum was like a best friend to me. Some people aren't lucky enough to have such strong bonds with their mothers, but damn, Chris and I were so lucky. Mum always put us first and would do anything for us.
You may be really close to my mum, or maybe you know her through someone else. Heck, maybe someone showed you this link and you don't know her at all. If so, all you need to know is she is wonderful. She is beautiful, kind, and loving. I wish I could give back for all she did for me growing up but I can't. But I will keep being her best friend, and do anything to make this rough road slightly easier.
So help me put a smile on her face for a bit of pampering, and please donate $5 (or $10 if you wish!).
Thanks for reading,
Hannah
Janice is my mum who has breast cancer. The money is to be raised for either a wig or to treat herself during chemotherapy.
