Katrina Richards (nana) cannot see any chance of retaining her sight without surgery she can’t afford.

I won’t deny this is another one of those real life sob stories but whether or not you see your way clear to give a little will not save a life but will save my nanas sight.
It’s not life or death as she has already beaten death having already survived Leukaemia now only to discover she has a cataract.
Nana a.k.a. Katrina Richards has been supporting and giving to charities ever since she was my age, 15 years old. Ironically one of the many recognised charities she’s supported is Fred Hollows fund, correcting people’s eyesight.
Currently my mother is the only one in our family with an income, which is why our hope is that there might be good will to support my nana’s failing eyesight given that she has always been focused on the needs of others, not her own.
Due to living on a pension and a lifetime of giving to others, nan’s solution to this problem and the only one affordable to her is to strengthen the prescription of her glasses as the corrective surgery procedure is over $5000 that she no longer has access to as nana and poppa have had to cancel their health insurance due to the cost of the premiums.
I can’t bear the thought of someone who has never turned a blind eye to anybody ending up with one.
I am Carys LLoyd-Lewis. I am 15 years old and am the granddaughter of Katrina Richards (nana)
To give nana the eye procedure she needs to clear her vision.
Surplus will go to Katrina’s discretion
