Dot Pig Donations

Hello everyone. My name is Dot. Just recently, some lovely humans adopted me from the factory farm I was living at.

I am so glad to be out of that place. It was not nice. I wish every piglet and pig there could have been saved. I wish no pig had to live like that. :-(

I have come a very long way to live at my new home at an animal sanctuary near Dunedin. And how exciting is this? I have just been told that I am going to be the ‘official pig friend’ for the Dunedin Vegans & Vegetarians Facebook group!!! :-)

The nice people who run the group told me that they decided to adopt me in honour of reaching one thousand members. In fact, my name even came from that: Dunedin One Thousand.

They said they used to give someone a cake each time another hundred people joined. That sounds pretty cool, but I am so glad they adopted me instead! (Although *I* would quite like a cake! Hee hee hee.)

I will be posting lots of wee stories on my Facebook page, with photos and maybe even some short videos for you, so you can see how I’m doing at my new home. There are lots of other animal friends there too. You will probably be able to see photos and videos of them as well sometimes.
