"Excellent stories and breathtaking photos. I'm with a renewed feeling of privilege and gratitude that I live in this corner of the world."Pam Morrison (Dunedin, NZ)
Down In Edin Magazine (DIEM) is a quarterly arts, culture, and lifestyle journal celebrating the people and landscapes of Dunedin and Otago (South Island, New Zealand.) This exciting online journal is the brainchild of photographer and founder-editor, Caroline Davies. DIEM offers an inspiring archive of stories and resources to local residents as well as to visitors to this beautiful region of Aotearoa.
Dunedin is a vibrant hub for New Zealand Arts and recently appointed UNESCO City of Literature. Down In Edin Magazine includes in-depth features on our region’s artists and writers, musicians and composers, sustainable gardeners, local inventors and risk-taking innovators. With a focus on dynamic, collaborative community, this magazine has a very big heart.
Until now, DIEM has been entirely managed and funded by Caroline. With six editions published and a seventh on its way, the magazine has established itself as a ‘content’ journal of a high standard. It is a valuable archive of our city and its people at a crucial time in local and global history. Down In Edin currently has a readership base of 50 countries.
We are a group of friends who think Caroline and her DIEM vision are awesome! In order to continue, the magazine requires some financial assistance. We invite you to contribute whatever you can to this fine initiative. Please give generously - no amount too small.
Funds raised will allow:
• A small stipend for Caroline who up until now has overseen the entire project single-handed
• Caroline to pay a fee to contributing writers, editors and photographers
• Advertising to help expand the magazine and its readership
