My Subaru Dream

$10 donated
Given by 3 generous donors in 8 weeks

Rebuilding my car my way is my dream, and the only project I want to work on. I am saving for my own Uni fees and I cannot afford my dream.

Canterbury

I own an old and beaten up Subaru that I want to completely rebuild my way, so that I can love it and use it for the next few decades of my life. It will take a lot of work and a lot of money to finish, but to have it finished would be a dream come true. Plus I hold a lot of sentimental value in this car and giving up is not an option. Unfortanately I am a student that is saving for their own university fees for when I go back in a couple of years, and between that and helping my mum support us I cannot afford to complete my dream. The car is currently broken and I have so much I want to get done before I go back to Uni to study, I cannot see how my dream can be made into reality without help. This project is also a pursuit of skills and experience in the mechanical trade that will be invaluable for me in later life, especially in my intended career path. Completing this project is one of the few things on my bucket list and if I don't find the money soon, I may not have the time to complete it before I start Uni. If that happened I may never find the time in my life to tick this off my list, and I will have to sell it.

If and when I finish the car it will be used by the whole family, and hopefully countless memories will be made because of it. I may even consider making a video series for education purposes, so that others may benefit from the lessons I will learn.

Use of funds

The funds will be used to purchase the necessary components and pay for any professional labour I need to finish the build. I will do most of the work myself so that more can be spent on quality parts. All of the money raised will be dedicated to the project so that my wages from work can go towards my Uni savings and to help my family.
