Drum kit fundraiser for Gabriel Fletcher

Hi, I'm Gabriel Fletcher. Please support me and my fundraising towards buying my first drum kit. I turn 9 years old on 10th January so I'm starting this fundraiser with my birthday money and mum and dad will contribute monthly. They will match this fundraiser by the end of the year in order to purchase the drums.

My goal is to buy an electric drum kit by Christmas 2016.

Mum took me to this shop and I got to try them out. I liked these drums best because the sound was so amazing and I could play along to music too. Mum also liked them because with electric drums she doesn't have to hear the loud banging!

I have been drumming since I was 6 years old. Seydou was my African drumming teacher for one year. He said I'm real good at African drumming but when we moved to Waiheke Island, I had no Seydou. Instead I began learning kit drums and my new teacher's name is Malcolm. Malcolm says I drum at the level of an 11 year old. Last year I performed my first public show at our school assembly. I played drums to "Smoke on the water" while Malcolm played bass guitar. I think I got the loudest claps from the school that day. It was really fun!

My other hobbies include: body boarding, swimming, shouting, collecting classic toy cars; watching Indiana Jones movies and writing. My favourite music genre is ROCK :-)
