Dry July - a fundraising initiative to support our whānau through one of the hardest seasons of their lives
Whangarei, Northland
We have recently received some difficult news from our sister Tui. Her beloved partner Josh, our brother and the father of their growing puku pēpi, has been diagnosed with advanced sarcoma, and they are now facing one of the hardest seasons of their lives.
This fundraiser has been created as a way for our wider whānau to stand alongside them in a practical and meaningful way.
Dry July is a simple kaupapa where participants give up alcohol (or another drink of their choice) for the month, and donate what they would normally spend to support this whānau during this time.
All funds raised will go directly toward easing the practical and financial pressures they are carrying, including day-to-day living costs, travel, meals, and other support needs that arise throughout this journey. We intend to help create space for them to focus on time together, care, and whānau.
A diagnosis like this affects the whole whānau, not just the individual.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is also a powerful way to support.
Your aroha, generosity, and support mean more than words can express.
