Help the Dunedin Children's Choir: Chamber Choir get to the World Choir Games, 2024! The Games are sure to be an unforgettable experience.
Helensburgh, Dunedin
The Dunedin Children's Choir: Chamber Choir is excited to announce that they will be embarking on a trip of a lifetime to the World Choir Games in Auckland, July 2024!
We are asking for donations towards the choir's attendance and participation at the Games - the largest choral event in the world. All donation amounts will be gratefully received and will make a huge difference. The choir will perform on the world stage, as well as meet and watch other children's and adult choirs from around the world. This is the first time the World Choir Games have come to NZ, and it will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our tamariki. The choir also looks forward to showcasing NZ music within their programmes.
All funds will be used to directly subsidise/cover the cost for the choir to be able to attend and participate in this event.
The Dunedin Children's Choir: Chamber Choir is comprised of the older members of the larger Dunedin Children's Choir. The choir is led by Natasha Manowitz (Choral Director), Susan Frame (Pianist), Helen Rutherford (Advisor) and Alison Macdonald (Choir Coordinator). The choir has achieved much success, having performed at a range of events including the NZCF Otago Sing Fest, 2023. See our website for more about us and what we do: www.dunedinchildrenschoir.co.nz
Let's get the Dunedin Children's Choir: Chamber Choir en route to the World Choir Games, 2024 - and celebrate all that it means to sing together and unite through song!
I am the Choral Director of the Dunedin Children's Choir.
All funds will be gratefully received, and will go directly to assisting the choir in attending this international event. Funds will cover flights, 4 nights accommodation, food, transport and event participation, with any additional funds used for uniform.
THANK YOU for making this possible! 2 July 2024
Hi everyone,
Thank you SO much for your generosity. We can't believe that we are leaving to Auckland in TWO WEEKS! These funds have helped greatly towards being able to bring our wonderful group of children to this international event. Everyone is really excited and we can't wait to share our hard work with you. If you are free, we would love for you to attend our leaving/celebration concert at 3.30pm on Sunday the 14th of July, at Flagstaff Community Church.
With thanks,
Tash on behalf of the DCC Team (Helen, Susan, Alison)
