Give an hour for earth
Nationwide
As landmarks and homes across the world switch off their lights, we are asking you to spend 60 minutes doing something - anything - positive for our planet.
Whether it is learning more about the issues, reconnecting with nature, restoring the earth, or donating a hour’s worth of your time. Your actions can inspire others.
This hour can shine an unmissible global spotlight on nature loss and climate change and the need to work together.
COULD AN HOUR CHANGE THE WORLD? IT’S A START, AND IT’S UP TO US.
25th March - 8.30pm
WWF-New Zealand is part of the world's largest, most experienced independent conservation network.
We're working to restore and protect Aotearoa New Zealand's most precious wildlife and wild places.
Building a world where people and nature are in harmony.
You did it - WE DID IT! 27 March 2023
Together, we created the #BiggestHourforEarth, with over 410,000 people from more than 190 countries and territories across the world giving an hour for our planet.
We are the first generation with the solutions and the last that can take action and reverse nature loss, limit climate change, before it's too late. And through Earth Hour, you've inspired your community to act, one hour at a time, and shown that the sum of our actions is greater than its parts.
