MEET THE LOCALS/Doing Great Things Expo - Celebrating & Showcasing Eastern Bay of Plenty Volunteers and the organisations they support.
Whakatane, Bay Of Plenty
Its time we show our local volunteers how much we appreciate them. But, we can't do it without the support of generous donations to cover the many costs involved in making the Eastern Bay of Plenty Meet the Locals Volunteering Celebration & Expo a reality.
This free community event, scheduled for 19th August at Whakatāne War Memorial will bring together charities, non-profits, community groups and clubs all under one roof for a day of fun activities, games and spot prizes to encourage the wider community to get to know the wonderful work community organisations do and connect with the ones that they are keen to get involved with. Then, when the doors close and organisations have finished connecting with the public, they will get a chance to connect with each other, celebrate and acknowledge their amazing, hard-working, dedicated, passionate volunteers and enjoy a well-deserved evening of entertainment and food.
The clock is ticking and we are running out of time. As a small charitable organisation we do not have all the funds needed to cover such a large-scale community event. With your help we can establish an annual event that acknowledges the extraordinary efforts so many volunteers have put into our community when we needed them most.
The E Network Trust / TENT is a registered non-profit supporting Eastern Bay of Plenty charitable and community organisations to help strengthen capabilities and build capacity through support services & activities designed to meet their specific needs.
100% of the funds raised will go towards delivering this inaugural event. If funds raised exceed costs, the remainder will be put towards next years' event, which will align with National Volunteers Week.
