Two members of our Leading Edge family have been affected following the flooding in Edgecumbe in the Bay of Plenty early on Thursday.
Bay of Plenty
Early on Thursday morning the Rangitāiki River burst its bank, flooding the Bay of Plenty town of Edgecumbe. Two members of our Leading Edge NZ family were evacuated from their homes following the flooding.
For many, it started out as a normal day. Sarah Sim and Tee Mansell were heading in to work at Phones 4U but before they made it to work that day they had to evacuate their homes immediately. As water flooded through streets and homes, the whole town was evacuated.
Sarah, Tee and their young families are currently staying with family members while they wait for Whakatāne's state of emergency to clear.
All of our Leading Edge NZ team matter and we want Sarah and Tee to have as much support as they need from us during this devastating time. Show your support now with a donation which will go towards making sure they, and their families, have all the essentials they need to get back on their feet and replace what was lost in the flood as soon as possible.

Both Tee and Sarah are incredibly treasured employees, and both love what they do. Tee is known around many stores in the area working in sales support. Only recently returned to work, she has a 9 month old baby. Sarah is described as a sales superstar. Working in the Whakatāne store for many years, she has risen to be a highly valued sales consultant.
Donations will go towards making sure Sarah and Tee, and their families, have all the essentials they need to get back on their feet and replace what was lost in the flood as soon as possible.

Leading Edge would like to that everyone who donated, your contribution is very much appreciated.
Tee and Sarah are boxing on and are greatly appreciative of the GiveaLittle initiative and everyone who has given time and money to the cause.
Sarah was able to move back into her house as it was largely unaffected - except for the time she was displaced during the state of emergency in Edgecumbe.
Tee is having her house renovated now which will take approximately four months. She lost all her contents. She has moved into a temporary home today while the rebuild takes place.
The Phones4U team are beginning some other initiatives to raise money and collect belongings for Tee and her family to replace her contents.
