Ship for World Youth New Zealand Alumni are planning to raise funds to provide basic educational materials for about 3000 children from slums in Delhi. 50% of the money will be raised by the NZ alumni and the rest by the Indian alumni. This is also in line with the "opportunities without discrimination" message of SWY

About us

The Ship for World Youth (SWY) programme, operated by Cabinet Office, Government of Japan, is a programme that involves youths from Japan and countries around the world. The participants board the Ship for World Youth, live together, and while on board, they study and discuss common issues from a global perspective and participate in other various activities that involve multi-cultural and multi-national exchange opportunities. The SWY programme which began in 1988, marked its 28th voyage in 2016.
