Matt is a passionate football fan and referee - he loves the Phoenix and for many years has reffed games of all grades and ages around the Wellington region.
Unfortunately on Saturday Matt suffered a pretty major health incident while reffing out in Eastbourne.
With serious rehab ahead, a family to support and the usual bills to pay, a group of us from Eastbourne Football Club wanted to start this page to help Matt out during a tough time

I just really wanted to say thank you again before this page finishes up. Hopefully I'll be able to say thank you to a lot of you in person before the year is out.
I just can't explain how much this means to me and my family and the support I have gotten. Thankful, I appear to be recovering quite well, its just going to take time.
