Help Egg, a little beagle, get TPLO surgery after injuring her cruciate ligament at the dog park.
Auckland
Hi, I’m Egg. I’m a fat beagle who doesn’t really care about other dogs, but I love humans, especially Nia Hill and my Uncle Bevan who lives in New Windsor.
On Anzac Day, my mama and dada brought me to the dog park. While I was having a fun time running away from a dog that was trying to hump me, I slipped into a hole at the dog park and hurt my leg badly.
This happened one day before my mum became unemployed, which I think was not very fun for my mum or my step dad, who is working really hard as a builder.
I got referred to the most expensive specialist in Auckland and received a quote for more than $12K NZD for TPLO surgery because I have injured my cruciate ligament. I need this surgery to help me walk properly again.
My mum has some savings, and some Vietnamese dong in her bank account, but she still needs to survive the next few months before she might end up on benefits.
I’m trying to be brave, but I really miss being able to move around like my usual happy self. Any donation, no matter how small, would help me get the treatment I need and give me the best chance to recover.
Being an immigrant dog and an immigrant person are both challenging for me and my mum, so we would really appreciate your support at this time.
Thank you so much for helping me and sending me love. It means the world to me and my family.
