Many highly capable students are held back by their socio-economic status. With your help, we can change that.
This October we are stepping up and out to ‘Eke taumata’ – lift up - our rangatahi and wāhine by paying forward the gift of transformative change we have been given.
Join us, on foot, bike or in spirit, as we travel the length of New Zealand to raise money for the First Foundation and Failoa Famili, two existing trusts, who are already making a huge difference in this space.
We are on a mission to raise at least $27,000 - the more we raise the more we fund.
Split into two teams, over four weeks, we will race the length of New Zealand from Cape Reinga at one end to Bluff at the other and back again (8,700km in total). Team 1 is Sole Sisters and team 2 is Auroras. We’re looking for sponsors to help us make the competition interesting and transform the lives of our rangitahu and wāhine at the same time.
With support from generous people like you, hundreds of bright young New Zealanders have already had their lives changed through these amazing trusts. But we can’t stop now. It’s time to hit the road!
All funds raised will go to FIRST FOUNDATION and FAILOA FAMILI.
First Foundation supports bright young Kiwis whose circumstances make it “difficult” to attend university; while Failoa Famili delivers quality training, advice and information so that young Pacific people, women and girls can ‘make positive choices in today’s ever-changing world’.
Every dollar counts.
