ELIJAH was born at 24.1 weeks gestation weighing just 610grams. On the 6th of July. He has been born into a very loving Hawkes bay family who are just delighted to meet their bravest little boy. However, his early arrival means there are enormous challenges ahead, for him to survive and for his now separated family.
16 weeks early has left Elijah fighting for his life and his family in a desperate situation. Mum has 4 children and cant be there for them or run her little home based business. The childrens step dad is now stretched between work, childcare, supporting his wife in wellington and being there for his son Elijah. Meaning reduced income and more expenses on a already stretched week to week budget. This coupled with very limited family support, is why im reaching out to the community. This family needs support and love around them to get through this extremely hard time.
I want to raise funds for Elijah and his family. The money raised will help them survive this journey. Food, transport and a roof over their heads. They are on this journey for Elijah, so that Elijah may grow from strength to strength. This family maybe be seperated for roughly 4 months, followed by any combination of prem baby complications.
Please help this hard working and extremely loving family get through this for Elijah.
I am a friend of this family. I see the struggle and enormity of the situation.
I want to do all I can to help this family stay on their feet while they are going through this nightmare.
The money raised will help them with any living expenses whilst their family is separated. Any surplus will go to Elijah to help fund any health care needs once home. And if things dont go to plan it will be going towards Elijahs funeral costs.

Mummy and I just had 6 1/2 hours of kangaroo cuddles so now I'm feeling very relaxed, daddy called and spoke to me via video call while we had cuddles,it felt like he was just next to me, was so comforting to hear his voice ❤️❤️
