This is a convenient way for you to help Elma & Yosshe’s family.
Auckland
Good afternoon Royal Oak Church friends and members!
Proverbs 11:25 "The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."
For several years, Yosshe Supandji has been experiencing severe health issues leading to kidney failure. So the search began for a donor.
His wife, Elma, was not an exact match for him. But she agreed to donate one of her kidneys as part of a "donation chain", which would allow Yosshe to receive a kidney from another matched donor. Both Yosshe and Elma had successful operations this past week, and are doing very well in their recovery.
But this is just the beginning of a long journey for the whole family. New Zealand's ACC compensates 80% of Yosshe's income. As a kidney donor, Elma also received a government subsidy equal to 6 weeks of her salary.
However, the recovery process for both of them will take longer than that -- by at least 4 weeks. In addition to this loss of income, they will also have other expenses, such as bills and supplies.
Many of you have inquired about possible ways to help this family. So we've decided to provide a convenient way for you to make those donations. The money will be used to provide a cushion of security for their family. And allow them to focus their energy on rest and recovery.
We are a Church family that supports and looks after each other.
The money will be used to provide a cushion of security for Supandji’s family, partially covering loss of Elma’s income and allow them to focus their energy on rest and recovery.
