We need your help. EM 98 is in November and we have men who want to go but can't afford the fee.

The Essentially Men courses are about men taking an honest look at themselves, what is happening in their lives and what has shaped them; and learning to take charge of themselves and changing the way they engage with life – to get the best out of it. Men come wanting to change their lives.
After the courses, men tell us what the course meant to them:
• I left the weekend with a sense of well-being and a higher level of understanding of where my emotions had been coming from with tools that mean I can release them in a positive way.
• Being a man is so much more than what society makes it. I learned that all men are deep and need to be real. That will reflect in my life forever.
• Allowed me to be myself; the real work starts now; I know it’s up to me to follow it through; small steps can lead to a more fulfilling life. Feeling of completeness.
• The course was fantastic, scary, uplifting, uncomfortable, challenging and connecting. I was well outside my comfort zone but determined to get what I was looking for.
One man's partner wrote:
• after attending the weekend course my partner came back to me on Monday a completely new man. On Friday night he came home completely freaked out, on Saturday he came home completely wiped out and Sunday he came home peaceful. On Sunday night he slept the most soundly I’ve felt him for years. He woke up happy and calm. He has clarity of direction that he hasn’t had in all the 18 years I’ve known him. And best of all the hugs he’s giving me are the best, warmest most honest hugs I’ve ever received from him. So I just wanted to thank you. Thank you for saving our marriage. Thank you for saving him. And thank you for the difference this new partner and father will make in my son’s life. I honestly can’t thank you and your organisation enough.
Essentially Men courses encourage men to be real with themselves, their families and each other; to be in a position to reach out for help before it is too late and we help them to create a support network of men to help them on the journey.

Our research indicates men completing our programmes are powerful agents for personal/cultural change. They demonstrate greater emotional intelligence, show more awareness of their strengths and vulnerabilities and are communicating more effectively in relationships. They participate more actively as parents, take more responsibility for their actions and show greater ability to reach out to other men in crisis in their communities/workplaces.
