Help Dave & Liz enjoy their remaining time together after Dave's terminal cancer diagnosis.
Nationwide
Moving to New Zealand from the U.K. had always been a big dream for Dave and Liz; a dream which they finally were able to fulfil in late 2018 after Liz secured a job as a mental health nurse in Hamilton.
Tragically, Dave was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in February, less than two months after their arrival. He was informed he had a 12cm tumour and that surgery to remove it was an unlikely option. Without treatment he only has a few months to live. Further treatment options are yet to be discussed but Dave has decided he would prefer to enjoy his remaining time rather than endure treatment if it only will extend his life by a few months.
Despite everything, Dave and Liz are determined to make the most of their remaining time together in their dream country.
We would like to raise as many funds as possible to help Dave and Liz with their ongoing costs regarding treatment and support as Dave's cancer progresses. This will also help to support them as Liz is not able to work full time as she is caring for Dave.
AHR was responsible for finding Liz a job as a mental health nurse in NZ to help her and Dave achieve their long-standing dream of moving here. Dave's terminal cancer diagnosis is a huge tragedy and we would like to raise funds to help the couple with treatment costs and to make the most out of their time left together.
100% of the funds will go to Dave & Liz to help with their ongoing costs regarding treatment and support as Dave's cancer progresses and to make the most of their time together.
