    Often people intend to do something to assist a good cause but other things compete for attention and it gets overlooked. This update is to let you know that we have extended the closing date for this givealittle page so there is still time to make a donation (or even let others know about our page so they can help out). This is such a worthy cause and we are still somewhat short of the target. Please help us spread the word by forwarding the givealittle link to your contacts.     To date around a dozen people have jointly contributed nearly $5000 which is 10% of our target. We are truly grateful for these contributions towards the purchase of the much-needed response vehicle on Kawau Island. This vehicle could literally be a life saver for any one of the thousands of visitors to Kawau Island or hundreds of homeowners on the island. The sometimes-rugged terrain makes the access to certain parts of the island very difficult in times of fire or emergency medical incident. The response vehicle will help keep Responders and patients safe when negotiating the steep and often muddy terrain on the way to and from an emergency. Please consider donating to this cause or passing on the givealittle link to your friends and family .... every dollar counts. Thank you.

    The present amount contributed to date by around a dozen people in the Kawau community is $3850 which is a wonderful start and is nearly 8% of the way to our target. Your generosity is heart- warming and a validation of how important this project is to the people of Kawau Island. Thank you so much for leading the way in our fund-raising efforts. The Kawau FENZ team do such a wonderful job, a lot of it behind the scenes, and with your help we can provide the tools to help them do their job more efficiently and more safely.
