Emma and John need help to meet 51k shortfall for life extending drugs

    Dear John lost his fight with lung cancer in early March. He fought an extremely brave battle and when the Doctors ran out of options he went off all the debilitating meds and had some wonderful times on holiday with his wife Emma ,daughters Jazz and Jade and all his extended family feeling like himself and able to enjoy every bit of life he had left. He has left a devastated family and friends that will take some time to heal. We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated ,John answered everyone and he was very humbled by the generosity ,please know it helped them immensely and made great memories .Thank you

    I wish to thank everyone so much who has donated. Thanks to you, I have had three rounds of the immunotherapy drug that we hoped would shrink the cancer to nothing and give me a long term solution, unfortunately scans show that the cancer has not responded and instead, increased in size and spread. Under my Oncologist recommendation I’ll be dropping the current treatment that’s making it worse and moving onto a new treatment plan, one that focuses on quality of life for as long as possible. No one can predict the future but unfortunately this is expected to be 4-6 months. Next week I start radiation to shrink back the largest masses and slow the overall progression, my Oncologist is also lining up treatment to strengthen my bones and a different chemotherapy which may slow the cancer for a while. I am also now on medication that I couldn’t take with immunotherapy that has me feeling the best I have felt in months, I feel like my old self for now and am really enjoying life. I have an amazing team on my side who will continue search for solutions and I will continue to battle this in any way available. Right now this is to feel as good as I can for as long as I can.

  • A Great Effort

    Thank you every one who donated to help John and Emma to help them make memories .John has decided after going through some horrendous treatment, that living his best life without intrusive debilitating medication is what they are going to do as a family . John is a very brave man and met the beast head on ,then turned his back and walked back in to living his life ,we wish him an easy ride from here and enjoy every small second, with love.
