To all our supporters, friends and whanau.

Thanks for the amazing response and contributions following the flooding last Tuesday.

We have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and energy.

Our plan from here is to keep the three boys happy and settled at Granny and Papas house in Taupo until a return to Eskdale makes sense.

We are working through the insurance claims steadily and are quietly relieved at how the process is going so far.

We were very lucky to have the support of dozens of our mates in Eskdale arrive on Sunday and clean out the entire flood affected areas of our home, guesthouse and garages. This job would have taken us months...our artwork and precious photos were salvaged...our cat was fed, our driveways cleared using heavy machinery, food and drinks provided etc etc. The community remains galvanised and this seems true for all affected areas. There are Sliver Linings!

    Much love from the Insulls!

On behalf of Hannah, Mack ,Joe and Sam, thanks to all our friends, family and supporters (known and unknown) that have contributed their words, time and money to helping our family.

As a unit, we have been focusing on finding the silver linings that inevitably emerge in times of crisis and loss. When we were sheltering in place in Eskdale in the 72hrs following the flooding, our Community came together - sharing resources like food, water, cars, generators, beds and information.

The love and empathy and support from our Community was the first silver lining! Emerging from the Hawkes Bay yesterday and seeing the Givealittle page, reading the comments and feeling the love and care has been another major silver lining.

We are overwhelmed with the generosity extended to us. Thank you ALL.

We will miss our home but cherish the memories formed there. We are optimistic, looking forward and are confident that our next phase will be positive.

We are devastated for our Eskdale Community and the wider Hawkes Bay which us suffering immensely still and look forward to returning soon to help with the rebuild.

    Love to all,

    Insey, Han, Mack, Joe, Sammy
