Eva (5) has Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Let's rally & give her family the financial support they'll need while they support her fight.
Canterbury
On Thursday 7th November 2019, the Sallabanks family's life was turned upside down when their 5 year old daughter Eva was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Eva started chemotherapy on Tuesday 12th November at Christchurch Hospital. AML progresses rapidly and requires aggressive treatment. For at least 5 months Eva will be in hospital with a family member there at all times. She may only get a day or two at home at the end of each 30-35 day cycle. The goal is no cancer in 6 months!
Let's rally behind Eva and give her family the financial support they need while they support her fight against leukemia.
Sharlene and Robin were the first people to step up when I needed them, now it's time for their friends, family and the wider community to give them all the strength and support to be there for her.
We are here to be their village through this, for as long as it takes.
The money will be used to assist the family with extra costs they will have over the next few months. For example, petrol costs, hospital parking, child care for little brother William, loss of income, and all additional costs that will come with Eva being in near full-time hospital care.
Please support the Sallabanks family while they support their daughter Eva in hospital.

I first met the family through our local Playcentre, Sharlene has become a close friend.
Funds will go to support Eva and her family towards any costs associated with treatment.
100 days past transplant 26 June 2020
It is 100 days past transplant and Eva is doing well. She is off all medications and the main concern at the moment is her weight. She's had an NG tube put in again to help, much to her displeasure. We've fought an epic battle against the dragon with you all in our army.
Our family wish to thank each and everyone of you for your love and financial support through the past 7 months. Every message is read and appreciated. We are eternally grateful!
On July 3rd Eva turns 6! Each milestone is seems so much more significant now.
