    Kia ora whānau,

I'm reopening this page to humbly ask for your support once more. Since I first launched this Givealittle, a lot has happened — and it's time for an update.

In late 2024, I set out to climb three Himalayan peaks as part of my training for Everest: Lobuche East (6,119m), Island Peak (6,189m), and Mera Peak (6,476m). I’m proud to share that I successfully summited all three.

Now, I’m preparing for another altitude climb overseas and preparing for the final ascent: Everest / Sagarmāthā – 2026 (hopefully).

I’m struggling to access the kind of funding needed to make this dream a reality. Many funders say it’s “not the right fit.” So I'm turning back to this platform, because every dollar here gets me closer to the summit.

🌟 What’s Changed Since My Original Post:

✅ 2024: Summited three Himalayan peaks over 6,000m — Mera Peak, Island Peak, and Lobuche East

✅ 2024: Completed Snow Skills training with Mountain Journeys

✅ 2025: Alpine Snow Course with Aspiring Guides – guided by Dean Staples

✅ 2025: Completed a technical alpine traverse of The Remarkables – guided by Dean Staples

✅ Continued filming for the documentary project, including snow training, moko kauae journey, and recovery kaupapa

✅ Climbed Tongariro, Roys Peak and Walked the Routeburn track

🔺 Now actively planning the Everest 2026 expedition, and fundraising for: permits, Sherpas, guides, gear, and filming.

    Kia ora ē te whānau,

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated to this kaupapa. With your support, I was able to purchase essential gear and capture some incredible footage — all of which will contribute to the journey of my climbing mission.

It’s a big challenge and definitely a slow burn, but I’m committed to continuing the kaupapa. I’ll keep you updated as things unfold — the dream is still very much alive!

    Ngā mihi nui,

  • New Timeline & Continued Focus on Everest 2026

    Kia ora everyone,

I just wanted to update you on some changes to my fundraising timeline. My new closing date will now be 11 May 2025 at 23:59. I’ve decided to extend the date as my ultimate goal is to reach Everest in 2026. This year will be fully dedicated to training and fundraising, and I’m excited to share that I’m all in on this journey.

Last year, life got busy, and I couldn’t focus as much on my training and fundraising as I’d hoped. But this year, it’s all about getting fit and raising the funds I need to make it to Everest. I’m determined to make this dream a reality and I truly appreciate all the support so far.

Thank you again for being part of this journey. Every donation and word of encouragement helps me get closer to the top! Keep an eye out for updates as I push forward with my training and fundraising efforts.

    Kia ora Koutou!

Since returning from Nepal, I’ve realised I need a lot more specialised gear for the journey ahead to Everest. Thanks to your incredibly generous donations, I’ve been able to purchase essential 6000m boots for high altitude climbs.

In addition, I’ve hired a cameraman to document the early stages of my journey, including the deeply significant moment of getting my moko kauae. This has always been a calling from my Tupuna, to carry my moko kauae with me to Everest. To me, it marks the beginning of this huge journey, and I feel it’s important to share that with all of you who’ve supported me.

With some of the funds raised, I was also able to film a very personal experience: giving my statement in court to the man who abused me as a child. I’m hoping to include this part of my story in the documentary, as it’s another layer of this journey that has shaped who I am today.

Your contributions are helping make this dream a reality, and I am beyond grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.
