Everyone deserves support during the tough times. Can you please help me make sure Sue has just that?

Sue is someone who works to better others life opportunities, Please help me give a little back to Sue at a tough time in her journey.

Hawke's Bay

Sue is one of the very special souls that support our most vulnerable and unwell youth in Hawkes Bay. Life has thrown her a real curve ball over the last few months and she finds herself facing the need for cancer treatment in Auckland to remove a large tumor from her Jaw. Although I have no doubt this strong lady will conquer the cancer with her determination and (stubbiness) she has recently found out there is no availability for her sister to stay in the accommodation assigned to the hospital and she will instead need to pay $55 a night in alternative accommodation for the 3 weeks Sue is up there to be able to support Sue through this challenge. As you can imagine with the worry of already not being able to work for an unspecified period of time the thought of this extra cost to just have support must be a huge burden on Sue. Along with this Ann is an amputee and relies on Sues support to keep her mobile so with this option not being available they will need to rent or source a mobility scooter while up there at a cost of $150 per week to allow Ann freedom to come and go as she needs.

As a good friend and work colleague, I would love to support Sue in this journey and to do that she needs a support person by her side so I am keen to get her sister Ann to Auckland to do just that.

Use of funds

Funds will be used for accommodation and possibly put towards a mobility scooter for Sues sister to be able to support her during her 3 week stay in Auckland

Challenge one and two nailed!   1 March 2020

Well our lovely Sue has managed to nail both the surgery and first recovery stage like a pro as we all knew she would. There have been many ups and downs but the doctors are pretty sure they got all the cancer. Although this is incredible news, she still faces weeks of recovery and radiation before she is able to even consider getting back to work. I know finances are playing on her mind so if you are able to help out a little towards her journey it would be greatly appreciated.
