Lets help Namamanuca Primary School

    Vinaka vaka levu (thank you very much)!!

    We managed to raise a total of $6654 Fijian dollars for the wonderful people of Namamanuca Primary School. This is going towards the school hall; soon-to-be school hall, library, media centre, and wet-day play area for the students. This money has purchased a large rug, shutters to replace damaged/missing shutters, blinds for sun and security, railings for the outside veranda, paint, and tiles for the school office.

    Myself and my family presented this to the headmaster in a full school assembly last week when we visited the island - and they were so appreciative! We were welcomed so warmly onto the island - handmade lei necklaces, a kava ceremony, singing and dancing from the students, a tour around the school, meeting the chief's representative, and having a tour around the village. It was so special to return back and see so many familiar smiling faces and knowing we were making a positive change in their lives.

  • Last chance! - we need another $1,500

    Bula bula! I am heading to Fiji tomorrow and am really excited to gift these generous donations to Yanuya Village/Manamanuca Primary School! We are currently $1,500 short of the costs of the materials required for the repairs. It would be awesome to get as close as possible to this goal so we can help to fully repair it! If you haven't donated yet, now is your last chance. Or if you'd like to chuck a little more in then you are more than welcome. Anything is appreciated and I am so grateful for your support <3

  • 32 days to go!

    In 32 days I am going over to Fiji and will visit Namamanuca Primary School again. (I can't wait!)

    While visiting I will also present the money that is raised. This money is going to be put towards the materials required to refurbish the school hall/library/community hub (currently very very run down). The local villagers will do the renovations themselves.

    Tasks to be completed:

    - install shutters and security wire into windows

    - repair fans

    - build desks for students to work on + storage of books and a computer

    - repair cyclone damages (eg, the roof)

    - repaint the outside

    - re-tile the floor

    If you would like to contribute towards this cause, now is the time! Vinaka vaka levu (thank you very much)! This cause means so much to me.
