Sylwia asks
I ask seriously...Please, could you tell me what happens with all money from "not refundable" tickets? I lost $40 with no possibility to refund, with no explanations...I think what are you doing is highly unfair. I feel like Evolve festival took enough money...for nothing..they cancelled also workshop on Saturday when, believe me, was cancel only because we were only in 5 and they just decide it wasn't worth to continuing the workshop. So it was cancelled but they TOOK MONEY.... UNFAIR

Hi Sylwia,
Thanks for sharing your disappointment, as it gives us the opportunity to explain our actions.
The Saturday afternoon workshop in question was cancelled as the wet weather placed the sound equipment at risk. It was advised that we move the sound equipment to the theater to continue the whole evenings music program.
B Prior the workshop presenter in question, had offered to do private sessions with those wishing to attend at his stall space instead. We are sorry you missed this opportunity. Our communications were not as clear as we would have wished them to be, due to the urgency of the situation.
In regards to your concerns about your $40- despite the cancellation of Sundays program we are still required to meet full costs of the whole event. These include, marquee hire, site fee, security, ticketing, advertising-radio, printed and online, stage hire, sound technician, lighting, musicians, crew, workshop supplies etc. As the Givealittle page states we are running at a loss of $10,000, that we are personally responsible for. This year we do not receive any wage or profit for the many hours of our time over the last year.
On purchasing your ticket online or at the gate, our terms and conditions are clearly stated, which includes the non refund policy and the ability to change the workshop program. This is to reduce our losses, when faced with unforeseeable challenges, like we had this year.
warm wishes,
Bex and Chai
