Building and Operating Fund

EWCT is an independent not for profit organisation offering services and support for people with epilepsy and their families and whanau.

Waikato

EWCT is the only epilepsy group actively providing a service to people living with epilepsy in the Hamilton and Waikato region. Our client number has doubled over the last 2 years.

We are looking to fundraise for a building/office so that clients and their families can call in for assistance and information.

We do not receive any funding from the government and district health boards. We rely mainly on donations and grants to run the organisation and offer the services to an increasing number of clients. We need to bring in another adviser to be able to continue to provide the high standard of service to our clients.

About us

Our epilepsy advisor offers free and confidential advice to people living with epilepsy. Organise 'Living with Confidence' courses eg cooking classes. Job Chats - a course to help people with epilepsy back into part-time /fulltime employment. Social club - coffee mornings/evenings, group excursions and meet and share gatherings. Provide training, give talks and write fact sheets to help people be more confident when treating someone with seizures.
