Hearing the word "cancer" is something no one wants to hear, but, this is the reality that my cousin Rachel is now confronting. A loving mother to Maggie (9) and wife to Giulio, Rachel has recently been diagnosed with Endometrial cancer. This shocking news has deeply affected our family, and we are all struggling to process the gravity of the situation.

Rachel is an active member of her church and a devoted volunteer in her community. As an older mom, she has treasured every moment with her daughter, Maggie. With an uncertain future ahead, Rachel is bedridden while her medical team works to manage her pain. Unfortunately, Endometrial cancer is not as responsive to chemotherapy, so we are praying for a medical breakthrough that will allow her to return to work in the future. At this point she has been unable to work since February 2025 and the impact on their finances is stressful; especially when it comes to paying everyday expenses and the added medical costs incl. home modifications that will allow Rachel to navigate around her home with some independence.

In light of this, we are hoping to raise funds to to ensure they have the resources needed to focus on her health and comfort rather than the financial burdens that often accompany such a diagnosis.
