FAMILY CAT SIMBA FOUND IN GIN POSSUM TRAP

PLEASE HELP WITH FAMILY CAT SIMBA'S VET COSTS AFTER HE WAS FOUND INJURED IN POSSUM TRAP

Our beloved 11 month year old cat Simba went missing on 22nd Feb 2023, he was found 6 nights later with his leg caught in a leg hold gin possum trap within the beach walking track situated in Titahi Bay. He had lost weight and fly eggs had set into his wound on his left paw.

Over the past month Simba has required a surgery to amputate broken bone in his paw and weekly sedation to clean his wound and change his bandage as well as ongoing antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications. To date Simba's total vet costs have been $1621.61 without pet insurance this has been an unexpected cost and stressful situation for my family.

If anyone feels called to help contribute towards Simba's vet expenses, I would be extremely grateful.

Simba's Healing   7 April 2023

We are so grateful for the generous support recieved for Simba to help with his healing care since getting caught in a possum trap.

Simba had his stitches out last week and is wearing a cone for a little while which he isn't too impressed with, this is to give his wounded paw time to heal up. All going well he should be fully fit to get back to normal cat life very soon. 😺
