Help the Hill family re-establish their household possessions after they are forced from unknown positive methamphetamine tested rental.

Taranaki

This amazing family of Abbey, Carlin, CJ (8) and Makaylah (5) have had a rough couple of years. They are the most amazing family that are hard workers, provide the most loving family environment for their children and yet they are dealt the crap deck of cards consistently. Here is a little about their story:

They have lost loved ones close to them in the past 18 months, had medical diagnosis whereby Carlin can no longer drive which in turn means he had to leave his job and the family had to move into town to allow the children to be working distance to school, so Abbey could return to work for support the family. This family would take the shirt off there back for anyone.

The move to town was meant to be a positive fresh start for them, only 4 months later for them to have the house they are renting tested for methamphetamine after hearing some unsavoury stories about the place. The tests have come back 7.4 times the highest unsafe reading. With the highest readings being in the children's rooms.

This essentially means this wonderful family can not take any possession's with them and whilst they pay insurance it doesn't cover the cost of replacement for contamination. The family are in discussions with the landlord over the next few days but every little bit is going to help.

I am hoping by setting up this page we can at least help them some way to re-establishing their lives and providing some normality for the children in what we hope will be a positive fresh start.

I first meet Abbey through Playcentre where our children become very good friends. Abbey, Carlin and there two wonderful children CJ (8) and Makaylah (5) have had their fair share of tough times (more then anyone of us deal with in a lifetime). They are a very resilient family but this latest blow is one that they should not have been dealt! This is a family that would do anything for anyone and always maintains positivity through the darkest of times.

Use of funds

This money will be used to assist the family re-establish their household possessions due to their insurance company not covering through contents insurance. Day to day living items like beds, clothes, blankets etc they have to purchase to start a fresh.
