Family of 6 need financial help for recovery treatment for serious injuries & lost vehicle caused by a major car accident.

Waikato

On Wednesday 25 November 2020, Karoline and her 4 children aged 14, 9, 8, and 7 were involved in a fatal car crash when returning home to Hamilton from Otorohanga. Fortunately Karoline and her family survived but all remain seriously injured as a result and will continue to recover in Waikato hospital for some time. Rehabilitation once discharged home will continue to be lengthy for all of them. Lance, the father of these beautiful children will have big boots and responsibility to fill and will need all the help he can get to help his young family recovery from their injuries.

This give a little page has been created to raise funds to support Karoline and Lance purchase a replacement vehicle for their family given the vehicle used in the incident is now a complete write-off, and ongoing costs related to medical injuries. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately they didn't have any insurance.

The family are incredibly thankful to be alive and grateful for all the support they have received during this difficult time. They would like to thank medical staff at Waikato Hospital for their ongoing care, and family and friends for their constant love and support.

Incredibly grateful to be shutting down this page  29 November 2020

Lance & Karoline are overwhelmed from all the love, support & many donations given to them during this time. A huge thank you to Lance's employers Ray and Maxine Nelson of Ignite Arts Academy in Cambridge, they have this evening donated a Van to the family, this is incredibly generous!

Lance & Karoline would like all those who donated to know that they have more than enough to maintain rehabilitation/medical costs, upgrade seatbelts & upkeep of their new Van & general living expenses. Therefore we will close this give a little page tonight. Thank you everybody Karoline & Lance will never forget all of you who helped them and they are forever grateful.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
