We immigrated from SA to NZ in 2018 and have been living here with our 2 children.

We applied for our Residency visa but was denied and have paid around $10000 for application and legal fees.

Despite doctors and tests saying I am in good health, New Zealand immigration is denying my residency application based on my weight.

We have to reapply for visas and apply to the Tribunal regarding our Residency case.

We in a position were we just cant afford everything.

Use of funds

Money will be used for the following:

Tribunal cost: $700

Children visas: $500

My visa + medicals: $1500

Any other fees that might arise to fight this in general.

It was certainly never my intention to be the one asking for help, but this journey has thought me that sometimes we need to put our pride aside and accept the helping hands.

I can only say Thank you from the absolute bottom of our hearts for the contribution and support in our case.

We were granted residency on 16 December 2021 and can finally call New Zealand home.

The eventual outcome that the Bezuidenhout family find themselves in will be truly indicative of how kind this government really is. As a primary school teacher I see amazing kindness in our schools from children and staff, however it is sadly lacking in our government officials. It is no wonder politicians are so poorly regarded in our communities. What a very sad and demeaning situation for them.

Please appeal to the Tribunal. And the gall bladder comment from immigration also shocked me. Mine was removed at 21 and I was super skinny then. Tention headaches were probably caused by immigration. All the best.
