This is a fund set up to raise money for a celebration of Te Ariki’s short life
Canterbury
On Sunday the 22nd of December there was a tragic accident whereby Lee's one year old son Te Ariki had drowned in her garden. He was rushed to hospital and put on life support. Yesterday, an MRI scan sadly showed that Te Ariki was brain dead. Today the life supports were removed in order to let Te Ariki die peacefully as he was unable to survive the unrecoverable situation. Lee is a mum with five children and at this difficult time of year she requires any support that you’re able to give to enable Te Ariki to have a fitting ceremony to celebrate his short life. If you’re able to give a donation, however big or small it would be greatly appreciated. This is a tragic loss for the family.
I’ve known Lee for 12 years since she had her first child when I was able to offer some support, and have continued to support her since then.
The funds will be used towards funeral costs for Te Ariki. The monies from ACC will not cover all of the funeral costs and other associated expenses.
Any monies left over after the funeral costs have been paid will allow Lee and her other four children to adjust to life without Te Ariki without financial pressure. It will take a long time for the grief to subside.
Te Ariki’s farewell 30 December 2019
