FebFast is a chance for New Zealander's to experience a month without alcohol and raise funds for young people affected by alcohol

Nationwide

FebFast is a chance for New Zealander's to experience a month without alcohol and at the same time raise funds for young people affected by alcohol.

FebFast is the perfect antidote to the excesses of the festive season - taking a month long break from alcohol is the healthy thing to do.

FebFast for 2015 will raise funds to support Rape Prevention Education (RPE) to deliver more sexual violence prevention programmes that teach young people about consent and respectful relationships. It is estimated that more than half of all rapes committed are associated with alcohol use.

NZ Drug Foundation's involvement (page creator)

The New Zealand Drug Foundation has been operating FebFast in New Zealand since 2011. Since that time we have raised over $280,000 to help young people who are most at risk of alcohol related harm.

Alcohol causes significant harm among young people in New Zealand, and this needs to be addressed. New Zealanders' attitude towards booze is something we can change when we talk about it.

About us

The New Zealand Drug Foundation is at the forefront educating, advising and championing a health-based approach to alcohol and other drugs.
