Felix, Our Beautiful 5 month old Catahoula

    Felix is home and doing well. He has only 5 more days of his 'Quiet time' left until he can play with his friends a Normal Pup. He will get stitches out in the next couple of days, and I am sure he looking forward to this. He is still hopping, although sometimes he put weight on his leg. I will update as soon as we have been back to the vet and try to get some good pictures of him where he is not flashing his backside.   • Felix Update 28 December

    Felix is home after five days with Vet Care in Tauranga. He is still very quiet and sore but has had pins inserted in his femur. We were told a few days ago, his break was a good, clean break in his lower femur, and it will heal well because his bones are still growing. We thought this would be our best option from good, solid advice from our Vet. We are so grateful to the wonderful vets and staff at Vet Care and to the kind and generous hearts of so many people donating to his vet costs. We still have a way to go, but have been able to lower our final goal to the appropriate cost of care. He will go back to the vet in 5 days for a checkup and get his sutures removed and spend the next 21 days resting. Thank you all so much.
