To purchase 2 AED Machines for our Clubrooms
Auckland
On Saturday 5th of May at Te Puru Park, in Beachlands a member of a West Auckland Football Club suffered a Cardiac Arrest. Through the quick thinking his team mates and spectators the player was able to regain consciousness through the use of a AED machine. Without this machine, he would not be alive today. He was 30 years old.
These are expensive machines, however are a necessary item to have available should the need ever arise. It is important that these are at sporting grounds around NZ.
Fencibles United does not have one of these machines and after an event very close to home feel it of the upmost importance to get one at William Green Domain and Riverhills Park.
Our aim is to raise $3,600 so we are able to purchase 2 AED Machines.
We have been inspired by a fellow Football Club in West Auckland to also help clubs around us who do not have one of these machines so any extra money that is raised over the $3,600 will be used to help supply other sports clubs with AED machines.
These machines can save lives, you never know, who, when and where this could happen but we are hopeful of the generosity of people in our community to help us supply two machines to our club and to as many surrounding clubs as possible.
Purchase of 2 AED Machines for Fencibles United and any surplus will be used to support another local club with the purchase of an AED Machine.
Our Club wishes to support surrounding local clubs with any left over funds in the purchase of these machines to ensure support is available if required.
