Hi all, Unfortunately this morning my mother in law and her dog Freddy were attacked by a large dog on the loose

My mother in law needed some medical attention and is recovering ❤️. Freddy unfortunately requires extra medical assistance and is currently undergoing serious surgery and will require further ongoing medical costs. Current surgery cost is $5k plus. ❤️‍🩹

There is a 50/50 chance of survival for Freddy.

🐶❤️ Freddy Update - He’s Home!❤️🐶 - Thursday 8th October 8 October 2026

Our brave little Freddy is finally home! 🏡❤️

We're so happy to have him back with us, and he seems much happier being surrounded by his family. He's started eating again, his drain has been removed, and he's continuing to recover day by day.

He's still quite sore, and the bruising is showing more now, but we're taking things slowly and giving him all the love and care he needs.

A very kind person has also loaned Freddy a pet stroller so he can still enjoy his morning walks with Mum in law while he heals. 🐾

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, visited the local vet to put money on Freddy's account, sent messages, and kept him in their thoughts. The love and support we've received has been overwhelming, and we're incredibly grateful.

Freddy still has a journey ahead of him, but thanks to all of you, he's been given the best chance to recover. We'll continue to keep everyone updated on his road to recovery. ❤️🐶
