Use of funds: All donations will go towards Bimla’s heart surgery, with stenting, and the care needed for her kidneys.
International
Our loving mother, Bimla Wati, is facing a serious health crisis. She recently suffered a heart attack and has been diagnosed with severe heart disease with kidney failure. Her condition is getting worse, and she needs urgent medical treatment to survive. We are reaching out for help to save her life.
Bimla has always been a kind and caring person who puts others first. She is the heart of our family and has always been there for us. Now, she needs us more than ever. Her doctors say she needs a procedure called a coronary angiogram, with stents to open up her heart arteries, along with treatment for her failing kidneys. These are her best chances to keep going.
Unfortunately, in Fiji, where she lives, these treatments are very expensive and are not covered. The cost is over $20,000, which is far more than we can afford on our own. Without these treatments, our mother’s health will continue to decline, and time is running out.
We are asking for your help, with hope in our hearts. Any amount you can give, big or small, will help us get the care she needs. Even sharing this story with others can make a difference. We are grateful for any support you can offer.
Bimla is not just a mother—she is a grandmother, a friend, and a loving soul who means the world to us. Your kindness can help give her more time with her family and improve her quality of life. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can provide.
I am Bimla's son, humbly asking for help from our community and friends. It’s heartbreaking to see her like this. We’re doing all we can, but we need your support. I’m deeply thankful to anyone who can donate.
Funds will cover heart procedures, including angiograms and stents, plus diagnostics like ECGs, echocardiograms. Lab tests, hospitalization, ICU care, post-surgery recovery, including follow-up visits and medications to ensure long-term health stability
**Update:** 27 September 2024
After careful consideration, we have decided that it would be best for mom to undergo the surgery here in New Zealand. The cost for the surgery in NZ is $45,000, compared to $25,000 in Fiji. We believe this is the safest option for her, as we can closely monitor her progress and provide her with the best possible care during her recovery. Thank you all for your continued support and understanding during this time.
