Fighting for life, one breath at a time

  • Josh update 🤍

      26 January 2026

Josh was discharged from hospital on the 22nd of January, which we are incredibly grateful for. Being home has been a big and positive step, but it has also come with its own challenges.

Since returning home, we’ve been slowly trying to settle into a new “normal” and find a routine that works for us. Josh is still very weak after everything his body has been through, so each day is about allowing him to move at his own pace and focus on rest and recovery. Even the smallest tasks take a lot of energy right now.

Recovery is ongoing and will take time, patience, and support. We cannot thank everyone enough for the kindness, donations, messages, and shares. The support through this page has helped ease so much stress during an incredibly tough period for our family.

Thank you for standing by Josh as he continues this journey — it truly means more than we can say 🤍

    Hello team,

Today, Josh is doing much better. He has started communicating with us and has also passed his swallow test, which is an awesome milestone. This means he can now eat and drink.

We’re celebrating the baby steps, and we’re happy to share that they are all moving in the right direction 😀

Thank you all for your continued support.
