Fighting IV bowel and liver cancer

Two weeks ago my sister Karis got some horrific news that would change and re priorities her life in the blink of an eye. Karis is a single mother to the most gorgeous 4 year old boy, Arlo.

After going in and out of Taupo and Rotorua Emergency Departments with extreme back and abdominal pain, she was finally sent to Rotorua to get a CT scan. CT scans and Colonoscopy biopsy results showed that Karis had stage IV bowel cancer which has spread to her liver and lymph nodes.

This page was created to reach out to Karis’ family, friends or anyone willing to donate and help out.

The money will go towards the following:

- Back and forth travel to Rotorua for chemotherapy.

- Private chemotherapy drug Karis wishes to receive, Avastin. This helps the publicly funded chemotherapy to be more effective.

This cancer is not curable but is treatable. The fight is just beginning. But my sister is a fighter and with Arlo by her side she will fight this. Any financial help is much appreciated, and any left over donations would go towards Karis making memories with her little boy.
