Fight to survive Bone Marrow Cancer 💔🙏🏻

Auckland

Lardie was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer in 2024. Underwent a bone marrow transplant in March in Auckalnd. He was an in patient for 4weeks & was recently moved to out patient unit, close to the hospital if urgent attention is required. The most critical stage! Seeing if it was successful, if his body accepts the bone marrow & he can recover / there is complications that could be fatal. Infections / sickness can be fatal. His wife, Maria, and their 2 sons live in Whangerei - 2 hours away.

He was the breadwinner & hasn't been able to work for a year causing immense financial pressure on this loving family.

He is now in the outpatient. With this comes MASSIVE implications & challenges. Maria was forced to take unpaid leave to care for him for approximately 3months while their kids are living with other people in Whangerei. This isn't easy for any parent / child, not to mention that both parents receives no income at, still having to pay everyday expenses, rent, food, electricity, 1 vehicle, bills etc...

Maria has been in contact with WINZ & IRD for support, they are doing the best they can but unfortunately it's not enough!

The stress, pain, frustration and anxiety that this whole family is currently experiencing (and for some time to come) is just unbearable and will send any person to breaking point.... I'm pleading with you to PLEASE HELP this family that is going through the toughest time and most hardship of their life and desperately needs your help!!!

Firstly, I want to thank everyone for all their support. Dr said 'under a microscope' everything looks good, then we got the blood results, and the donor T-Cells is not as dominant as we have hoped for. But we will never give up! We will see the doctor again on the 29th, then we will know the way forward. Please don't stop praying. Thanks again.
