Second food packs delivered
11 April 2016On Friday 1st of April the Bula Coffee team took a couple of trucks up to the Navosa Region to deliver another months worth of food to the same villages in need. Thats another 12 tonne of food!
The timing of this couldn't have been better. The villagers were on the last of their food rations from their packs and little did we realise that floods and cyclone Zena were on their way. If we hadn't delivered the food when we did, it would have been a couple of weeks before we would have been able to get the food packs to them due to the flooding.
The disappointing timing of the rain is that it has washed away many of the crops that were beginning to grow.
Thank you so much for the generous donations, it has been a huge blessing to many people.
