Fiji Village Project 2016- a student led charity that aims to improve the health, education and water access of the rural Fijian communities
Nationwide
Hey everyone! FVP (Fiji Village Project) is a student-led charity, run by nursing and medical students from New Zealand, Australia and Fiji. We are in the process of trying to raise funds to help build sustainable clean water access, as well as carry out health screenings and health education sessions for those living in the rural communities in Fiji.
This is a self-funded project- all the volunteers and coordinators are paying for their own flights and accommodation. However, we need your help with purchasing the necessary equipment for making the water tanks, as well as the medical supplies for the screening and education sessions.
I hope you join us in finding this a worthy cause to support, and any contribution made will be greatly appreciated by my team and I, and those living in the rural Fijian communities.
Thank you for taking the time to look into our project!
I was fortunate enough to be chosen as one of 15 students to take part in this project in which we hope to improve the health of those living in the rural Fijian villages. It's a great cause, and I am passionate about improving the health in communities where barriers to health care exist. My team and I will visit a number of Fijian villages in early January where we will carry out health screening, health education programmes and set up clean water supplies in the communities. I am excited to be supporting such a worthy cause, and hope to help raise money to support our team with the project.
