Proudly representing New Zealand, competing at the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Hangzhou, China.
Auckland
Recently at the New Zealand Short Course Championships I placed first in the country for the 50, 100, and 200 butterfly and also secured a NZ record in the 200 butterfly which was previously held by Helen Norfolk in 2000. But more importantly I manage to qualify in all three events, for the 14th FINA World Short course Championships, being held in Hangzhou, China.
The championships will take place over a span of 5 days, from the 11th-16th of December 2018. As this is a user pays event, we are to fund ourselves to get there. But I won't be able to do so without your help! The total cost of this amazing life experience and next step in my swimming career is $5300.
I've been a competitive swimmer ever since the age of 7 and have always had a love for the water. This year I moved to Auckland to pursue both my academic and swimming dreams. I currently study a bachelor of Accountancy full-time at Massey University in Auckland and swim at the AUT Millennium with High Performance Swimming New Zealand. I currently have swimming training 9 times a week and push myself in the gym 3 times a week. Swimming has been my passion for so many years and I am eager to compete on the world stage, stepping in the right direction of my ultimate goal of representing our country at the Olympics..
Any and all support toward helping me get to the World Championships in China this December would be greatly appreciated. All funding will go towards the trip and competition, costing $5300.
Funds will be used to help fund my trip to Hangzhou, China, for the 2018 FINA World Short Course Swimming Championships.
