Help Blake bring his dog Koda home. All funds not needed to find Koda will be donated to a local dog charity.
Auckland
Koda went missing from Helensville Auckland on Anzac Day evening. He was visiting a family member's house with his dad Blake when he went missing, the family thinks he may he may of followed Blake's brother when he left the house. He was then seen running scared by the rugby field just down the road. Members of the public tried to catch him, however he is timid of strangers.
The community has gotten behind the search for Koda in an incredible way, spending thousands of hours looking for him. There has been a few sightings, the last one being near the Riverhead forest. This has been a central point for the search, which has involved drones, people and dogs on foot, a dog trap, night vision cameras, KFC, neighbours around the forest leaving food out, Blake camping out overnight, Blake's clothes (with his scent) being left all over the place, a tracker dog...... the list goes on.
We are setting up this page to help future search efforts, firstly to buy a few dog traps, we have come to realise these are in short supply, so we would like to have some on hand for when they are needed. Once Koda is found we will donate these traps to a local dog rescue group so they can help other dogs. All donations that are not used directly to find Koda will be donated to a dog charity.
I didn't know Blake or Koda before this, however, I live in the suburb where Koda went missing from and I am a huge dog lover, so I wanted to help Blake to bring Koda home. I set up the Facebook page to gather support from the community.
Firstly 3 dog traps will be bought, to have on standby. Any surplus funds not used to bring Koda home will be donated to a local dog charity.
Dog traps have been ordered 11 June 2021
