    Hi all, I hope you're doing well 😊.

    I have a date for surgery booked on the 16th of July at 12pm! I chose to go with Dr. Alex Brown at Wakefield Hospital in Wellington as he has great results and is closer to home. The full cost is est. $19k-$25k (fingers crossed for $19k 😁), thanks to all of you, I'm able to get this at a reduced cost and at a sooner date! I'm planning to borrow the rest from my mum (thanks mum, hopefully I can pay you back within the decade 😅). Thank you so much for all your support, I'm very very excited!!

  • In person consult with surgeon

    Hi all, hope you're doing well. Yesterday I had an in person consult with a surgeon Dr. Alexander Brown at Wakefield Hospital in Wellington. He was very lovely, easy to talk to and enthusiastic about how much this surgery improves people's life. We discussed the surgery and my options and it's all looking good to go ahead. He said the minimum cost is around $15,000 for the main surgery and $5,000 for a nipple reduction. My plan is probably to pay for the nipple reduction with these funds and hopefully the public system can fund the bulk surgery. The surgeon said I'd be looking at waiting about 18 months for that. There used to be a fund called the Bowen Trust that funded 4 surgeries or so a year but that was closed after Dr. Bowen retired. Dr. Brown said he was interested in if he could get it up and running again so that could be a possible avenue too. Thank you for reading and keeping up to date!
