    Hi there,

I just want to thank everyone again, your generosity helped us incredibly while Finn had his roughest 6 months yet. But it was all worth it, he has no active disease now 😊 Finn now no longer receives chemo through his portacath(he’s since had it removed, an awesome milestone!) he will now have oral chemo everyday for the next 2 years and he only requires hospital visits to Dunedin 1-2 times a month. He is now enjoying being home more often and is the happiest wee boy who is loving being a big brother to Oliver who is now 4 months old!

  • An update on this past week 😊

Finn’s chemo week has come to an end! He was super brave and has handled it all really well, on day 3 he spiked an unexplained fever which meant 48hrs of IV antibiotics as precaution. We were lucky that thanks to you all we could stay close by the hospital and not be admitted to the ward 😊 This also meant we could avoid any infection that could be easily picked up in the hospital. The fever quickly resolved itself and he was able to have his remaining 2 doses of cytarabine 🎉

We’re home now resting and will be celebrating Finn’s 3rd birthday next week on the 17th of November 🥳 His next lot of chemo starts on the 28th of this month and that week he also has a brain MRI we’re hoping to see that his treatment is making progress towards no active disease🤞🏼
